Name: Kamiya Tsurugi Door: Right Canon: Servamp Canon Point: Chapter 68 Age: 26 Appearance: here History: here Personality: An eccentric man, Tsurugi acts more like a child than his actual age of 26. On the surface, he reads as a bubbly, playful, and very obnoxious troublemaker who prefers to spend his time goofing off and playing pranks than actively paying mind to any of his adult responsibilities. He's incredibly outgoing, willing to talk to anyone, even if he tends to keep people emotionally at arm's length. To those that don't know him, Tsurugi's driving force appears to be money. He's absolutely shameless and will (and has) done anything asked of him as long as it offers some sort of financial compensation. When it comes to this, he can be flirtatious and lewd, and he isn't above begging to get what he wants. If anything, he seems to even enjoy it. Contrary to his outward demeanor, most of Tsurugi's life was lived in emotional bondage. He was rescued at a young age by a man that was just as bad, if not worse, than his previous situation. His rescuer, Touma, raised him to be used as a weapon and taught him that if he doesn't kill his existence is worthless. Denied a traditional childhood, Tsurugi was forced to give up on anything resembling a normal life. Where others might be angry at living like he does, Tsurugi instead forces himself to (pretend to) feel nothing at all. Even in situations that call for it, Tsurugi is incapable of feeling indignation. He won't acknowledge emotions like grief or anger, not because he doesn't feel them, but because he wouldn't know how to handle them if he did. He's heavily in denial of the things that make him human. There's a scary side to Tsurugi that is most visible when he's fighting. As the captain of C3's combat team, he's the most skilled vampire hunter they have. When his cheerful demeanor subsides, he can be downright sadistic, killing at times even when he doesn't need to. He's also brainwashed in that certain sounds (alarms) or phrases (from Touma) will cause him to react erratically. Overall, Tsurugi takes life as it is handed to him. He lacks aspirations and has no real goals set for himself. He's long since given up his individuality and views himself as the tool he was raised to be. Due to this, he refuses to grow up, to the point of even denying his real age. Despite the bad things that have happened to him, Tsurugi is forgiving, oftentimes when he shouldn't be. While Tsurugi himself would never admit to wanting anything, what he craves most is a sense of family. A lack of ever having a real family has left him unfulfilled in life. He's empty, and it's made him listless and willing to accept the worst of things. He doesn't believe he deserves better, and he's too scared to admit that he wants it. Powers and Abilities: Tsurugi manipulates magical energy in order to attack. It's explained in his canon that the strength of magic is based on the severity of the emotions magicians are taught to suppress. In his case, he's the strongest fighter in his company's combat unit. While magic in Servamp can be used in a variety of ways, Tsurugi most commonly uses his to manifest in a sword for offensive attacks or as ropes to bind opponents. Less commonly used, Tsurugi is capable of binding people to him by a collar that prevents them from separating too far from him. He's also able to shoot magic like arrows to pierce enemies from afar. Using magic comes at a price, though, and for every spell he uses, he comes closer to dying. Overuse of magic causes hallucinations and delusions. Besides his magic, Tsurugi is incredibly agile and capable of running fast enough that he can run sideways along walls at times. He's also exceptionally flexible.
